Direct Interior Solutions were delighted to be asked to carry out extensive work associated with the fitting out of the former HMV store located within the prestigious Huddersfield Kingsgate Shopping Centre.

This project followed on from the successful completion of a number of other Arcadia Group stores for George Sharkey & Sons including Topshops in both Halifax and Hanley, Staffordshire, together with a combined Burtons / Dorothy Perkins store, again within the Potteries Shopping Centre at Hanley.

Work undertaken at the Huddersfield store included the lining of perimeter walls with plasterboard incorporating plywood backing and railing systems, the formation of new partition stud walls, bulkheads, changing rooms, suspended ceilings: installation of doors, skirting's and associated equipment including kitchen units.

Work extended further into the supply and fitting of a new metal staircase, complete with associated timber cladding and cappings; ceramic floor and wall tiles, granite upstands and final fitting out of fixtures and fittings with the teams from Sharkey and Arcadia.
